    Hello,

Can someone please help me about the meaning of "creditore chirografario" in English?
I saw this in a letter from a lawyer.

    Thanks,

If a business goes bankrupt, a "creditore chirografario" is one of those unprivileged creditors who have fewer hopes of recovering their monies.

Is there a precise expression in English to translate creditore chirografo?.. Chirographic payee?...

No. I sistemi sono concettualmente diversi. Come gia' detto, il termine che a mio avviso e' maggiormente chiaro per un anglosassone e' 'unprivileged creditor'.

I believe the English equivalent would be "unsecured creditor."

    Ciao.
