    Hi all -

I am translating a patient medical report into English and am wondering what 'DD" might stand for in this context:

Under the heading "Clinical History" the following line appears:
"DD entre une encéphalopathie toxique et métabolique. Le scanner cérébral ne met pas en évidence de lésion intra ni extra-axiale."

"______ between a toxic and metabolic encephalopathy. The CT scan did not reveal any intra- or extra axial lesions."

    Thanks for any help!

    Hello Mike

I imagine that one of the two Ds stands for «diagnostique», I am trying to find the other one.
Do you know from which country this French text is?

I found thid definition of diagnostique différentiel:« l'identification d'une pathologie grâce à la comparaison entre eux des symptômes dus à plusieurs affections voisines que l'on cherche à différencier les unes des autres en utilisant un processus d'élimination logique.»
    I hope this may help...
