Perhaps, one must accept their own strengths and weaknesses.

Is it common to use the words"qualities and faults" if I want to talk about people´s "cualidades y defectos"?

I'm not sure if it is common, but it makes sense. If you gave us a complete sentence and/or more explanation of what you are trying to say, we could help you better.

So, I say my qualities are... and my faults are...?

Ah... now I understand what you are trying to say.

Responsibility, honesty, impatience and a bad temper are all qualities or characteristics of your personality. Some of them are good qualities, while some are bad qualities. Another way you could make this distinction is to refer to them as strengths or weaknesses.
