desk officer / field officer

    As opposed to a field officer (Agent de terrain) what would be a desk officer in French? Is it 'agent de permanence'?

    Tout dépend du contexte.
    Le GCSP de Genève donne aussi "attaché" (militaire, politique, etc.)

    Le desk officer est un officier administratif par opposition à l'officier de service actif.

    Je ne suis pas sûr pour "agent de permanence"…
