    Hello,

I need to translate a text into English and i'm not sure about the translation of "devant les problèmes".

could i have your opinion, please?

    The context is :

" Devant les problèmes que nous rencontrons pour communiquer avec la ville allemande qui devait organiser le 3ème seminar, nous envisageons de réduire le nombre de séminaires à trois.

My trial is : Due to problems we meet to communicate with the German city that was to organize the third seminar, we plan to reduce the number on three seminars.

Would be better to say "Forced by..?

    Thank you !

I think "Given the communication problems we've encountered with..." or "In light of the communication problems..." would be best.

Also, make sure to proofread the rest of your sentence.

    These get my vote.
I was about to suggest "given the communication problems" before I reached this post, but now I have a slight preference for "in light of the...".
