    Hello, Friends of the Forums!
Your insight is called for again ;-)

En cas de problème sur les équipements couverts par contrat, [company] se charge d’en diagnostiquer la cause et d'y apporter la solution appropriée.

    I've come up with:

Should any problem arise concerning a device covered by contract, [company] will be responsible for diagnosing the cause (reason?) of the problem and provide the appropriate solution.

    Does it sound correct ?

    Hello Blancheneige :)
I think your suggestion of "diagnosing the reason for the problem" is fine or how about simply: "diagnosing the problem"?

Personally, as a Brit, I think the use of 'diagnose' outside of a medical context sounds a bit weird. I'd tend to use 'evaluate' or 'assess'.

Some other options, depending on the context: appraise, gauge, figure out, troubleshoot
