Could anyone help me with this translation?
I know disposer means "to have at one's disposal" and that sort is either "fate" or "spell". I'm just not sure if that's what it means here.
    Thanks

    Hello,

    In this context

Disposer de = to have full power on, to be the only decision maker.

"Sort" is definitely fate, destiny or even life (or death...).

    Cheers

    So the entire phrase is:
Ces deux puisssances disposaient de mon sort

    Would that be
These two powers which I had full control of their destiny

    Thanks

No, sorry, actually that would be exactly the contrary:

Ces deux puisssances disposaient de mon sort

These two powers had full control over my destiny

    Cheers
