    "Il faut garder le moral" is close, but maybe more general (it is also don't get depressed).
    (la morale is different)

    Dans ce contexte, c'est plutôt ne perds pas espoir (en général). Il me semble que si on disait l'espoir, on devrait préciser de quoi, ex. l'espoir de guérir.
