EA: use something as a crutch

    Ahleeeeeen,

    How can we say that somebody is using something as a crutch (is depending on it in a negative way). For example, "children should learn to do math with a pencil and paper and not use the calculator as a crutch."

    the verb is: يتكل (yettekel)

    وما تتكلش على الآلة الحاسبة

    Here 'depends' is better يعتمد.
    In literal situations, leaning on something is يتّكي
