    Ciao a tutti!

First time. Took me off guard."
    Qualche suggerimento?
    Grazie mille!

    Hi larachel,

Could you let us know what happened for the first time that resulted in A's "emozione"? I still don't quite get the idea A is trying to express.

I'd usually translate "emozione" as "excitement", but theartichoke is right, we need more context.

Okay! The context is this one:

It's set in a comic strip. A and B are directing a casting call and the first candidate says something that insults A. A, being quite angry, kills him immediately. B comments by saying that, if A doesn't like a candidate, a "no" would suffice - killing him was a bit too much. So A answers: "Ah! È stata l'emozione della prima volta."
    Is the situation more clear?

Hi larachel - in the theater, a common phrase is "first-night jitters" - here it would be "first-time jitters."
