Is this well-writing "Massive Consume industry"?
"mass consumption industry"
consumer market company
I'm resurrecting this thread as I'm interested in the same term but don't think either of the options mentioned here is necessarily correct. I take it to mean something like a large retail chain. Does anyone have any views?
Thanks for your help.
OK, I've had a look round all over the place and am dissatisfied with all the possible options I've found. On American websites, I've found "consumer goods company", but in Spanish it seems to refer to food and drinks manufacturing companies, rather than retail chains. I'm adding this to ensure that no-one is confused by my earlier thought that it might be a retail chain.
in Spain this concept is related to marketing. May be an expert in this matter could throw light upon this topic.
The concept "consumo masivo" in Spain is usually defined as "gran consumo". Mass consumption would be the best translation as far as I understand.
