Engagement wishes help

Discussion in 'Čeština (Czech)' started by krae, Sep 3, 2012.

  1. Hello!
I don't speak one bit of Czech but my friend got engaged recently to a guy from Prague and I thought it'd be cute to put what I write in their "Congratulations on the engagement" card in Czech. This is what I'd like to say:

May God bless you with a wonderful future together, filled with love, care and understanding. I'm so glad you have found love and happiness in each other. Congratulations to the future bride and groom.

I won't bother trying to type my attempt because it'd just be a Google translation and everyone knows how hilarious those are!

    Thank you very much!

Nechť Bůh požehná Vaši společnou budoucnost, plnou lásky, péče a pochopení. Jsem moc rád (or if you are a girl, " jsem moc ráda"), že jste jeden v druhém našli lásku a štěstí, a blahopřeji budoucí nevěstě a ženichovi.

    :)

  3. Thank you again! I wish I could see their faces when they get the card. :)
