    WF translates it as "news in brief" in case you wouldn't have checked before...

    "fait divers" can be translated as "a news item" or as "a trivial event".
    I hope this is what you are looking for.

    rassurez vous avant de vous poser la question j'ai verifier sur WF mais avec "divers" ou "fait" pas avec "news"... J'ai choisi "trivial event" comme tradution. Cela correspondait le mieux à mon contexte: la mort de Diana.
