    "avoir une fièvre de cheval" means a high fever, high temperature, right? I thought I'd make a thread since it's not listed under fièvre or cheval.

    I'm not sure if anything more idiomatic exists, but the usual expression is 'a raging fever'.

    Here we need the help of native speakers.
    I like this French idiom (in Italian we have the exact equivalent ''avere una febbre da cavallo'').
    I've never heard ''a raging fever''...maybe it's what we are looking for.
