figurino, disegno tecnico

    Contesto: moda-collezioni
    Come posso tradurre in inglese la differenza tra figurino (outfit?) e disegno technico (technical drawing?)?
    Se invece il figurino è nudo (privo dei vestiti, usato come base su cui disegnare l'outfit) posso chiamarlo sempre figurino (outfit?) oppure "base"? o "naked base"?

    Il relatore parla di figurino nudo ovvero privo dei vestiti, usato come base su cui disegnare l'outfit.
    Diverso invece è l'outfit ovvero il figurino vestito.

    Outfit per me significa completo parlando di vestiti, però forse si usa come intendi tu in questo contesto. Comunque, dai un'occhiata qui, ti potrebbe essere utile.;)

    As far as I know, and this is my field, we refer to body templates or figure templates that you base your drawing on. The flat sketches that are more technical are often called geometrics (or detailed flat sketches), but I wonder if this is the French influence felt here in Montreal or if this is standard in the English speaking world.

    @ london calling: Si esatto, per outfit si intende completo oppure una figura umana "vestita" per quanto riguarda l'opera dello stilista. Grazie mille per il link!
    @ rrose17: "body templates or figure templates" sounds perfect! And flat sketches is probably what I was looking for... thanks a lot! :)
