Hi fellows, can you help me? I have got a problem with numerals in Latin: in this phrase, "In the first of the four books of Odes Horace deals a lot with love...", how can I say the clause first of the four books in good Latin?

It should be: "Primus quattuor librorum". In your phrase: "In primo quattuor librorum (...)"

So the numeral quattuor in undeclinable?

Yes, like all the numerals, except for unus, duo, tres, milia and the hundreds from ducenti to nongenti. I hope my English was fairly good :).
