    Bonjour a tous.

    J'apprend la subjonctif...

Que veut dire cette phrase en anglais: "Je suis contente que tu sois la".

    Is it:

I am happy that you are here.
I am happy that you would be here. (because sois is subjonctif)

    Merci.

The first: I'm happy (that) you're here.
    "would" is the conditional
(Note that there remain subjunctive structures in English too: I insist, I demand, it is essential … that you be here on time

Then what is the difference between:

Je suis contente que tu sois la.
Je suis contente que tu est la.

    ??

The second is impossible. An expression of emotion in the principal clause requires the subjunctive in the subordinate clause.
