Je cherche un piège à rats. Vous en avez?
Attendez une minute, je vais vous en chercher un.
I don't understand, why en and un used, like double one.
Why not just say: Je vais vous en chercher? Why do we need that "un"
at the end, and what does it mean:
I go for you one seek one???

    Merci

The "en" is more literally "of them", which is implied (but not stated) in the English.

I'll go and get you one. One what? A hairdryer, a bottle of milk? No, one of the things I just mentioned, one of them.

en used on its own refers to an unknown quantity :

Je vais vous donner des pièges, de l'eau etc.Je vais vous en donner = I'll give you some (of them, of it etc.)

To indicate a specific quantity, we add a cardinal number :

Je vais vous en donner un, deux, trois etc.= I'll give you one, two, three (of them)

    Hi,

"en" is to say what you are seeking, and "un" is to say how many of it you are seeking

"un" is not compulsory here. But in fact, when we say "je vais vous en chercher", we understand that he will come back with several of it, so that for example you can make a choice. So usually we say "je vais vous en chercher un" if we want to say that we are coming back with only one.
