lange: Can you explain the game to us? I've played "tag", but "freeze tag" doesn't sound familiar.

I think the game "tag" in Spanish would be.... gah... It's on the tip of my tongue... Goodness me.... "pillado"?

Okay, I give you a nice example here:
My boys taught them freeze tag, which they had never played before.

At my son's school in Madrid they call it estatua.

Well "freeze tag" is the name of the game so I'm asking for the name of the game.

When I was a boy we would call it freeze tag or stuck in the mud.

Regular tag (here in Madrid with the colegio set, at least) is pilla-pilla (cara de bombilla) or tú la llevas.
