    Greetings

You have a kind of fritter, a bit like kadınbudu, neither my wife (who is actually Turkish) nor myself can remember the name – it’s something like mücve.

Please can you help me to find the correct name?

    Best wishes, and many thanks,

    Simon

Many thanks, that's it - actually, my wife said mücver but I thought she was wrong as it's not in the dictionary I used to look it up.

Please, do you have any idea of its etymology?

I think the etymology is unknown. But it does not sound like Turkic in origin.

It is Arabic مجور which means concave/bowl-shaped.
