    Ciao a tutti.

E a cosa corrisponde?

Arrivata una native :)...At least in American English, we would not use "pumpkin" as an insult in the sense of "zucca vuota" or "zuccone", although it certainly has the affectionate sense mentioned by smart woman. Without any context, my guess would be that the speaker was cursing an actual pumpkin that had somehow caused him problems. If my car broke down, I might say, "fucking:warn: car!" If my dog peed on the carpet I might say, "fucking:warn: dog!" It's a bit unexpected to say it about a pumpkin, but who knows, maybe he hurt himself while trying to cut it open or it was extremely difficult to cut, maybe he tripped over it, maybe some kid threw it at him. I don't know, but I don't think it was an insult to another person.

We don't know the exact context: we don't know if it was said ironically or by someone very upset... In case it were ironic that would made sense... a little... maybe.. :p

So she could have said "you :warn:fuckin' pumpkin" meaning something like "brutto pezzo di... dolcezza" :p

What do you say? (alright, alright... I know... I'm speculating hard here... just trying :D).
