I would like to write "Good Luck in the Year of the Snake!" in Mandarin. Here's my attempt:

在蛇年,我祝你好運! (In the Year of the Snake, I wish you good luck!)

Hi Grefsen, I don't suggest that word-by-word translation...
蛇年吉祥 is quite a common way as Chinese New Years greetings, which means "good luck in the Year of Snake".:)

It's ok. :) But we usually say it in some concise ways or traditional ways, unless we really want to stress the "我祝你" part.
    蛇年吉祥
    蛇年大吉
    蛇年好運
    蛇年行大運
    祝您蛇年……
    恭祝您蛇年……
Note 祝你/您 usually starts the sentence, while 蛇年 should be connected with 好運 etc.
