Gran embergadura

    How would I translate something such as "proyectos de gran embergadura"?

    It is referring to mining projects never seen before in the country.

    ... big-scale projects, may be? it just does not sound quite like it.

    Yes, you are right, though it is envergadura, with a V :), Speaking of birds, it refers to the span of their wings, for example.
