headed to / for

    Hey everybody,

    Which one of the following sentences use the suitable preposition? both of them?

    He headed to room 7 or
    He headed for room 7

    "Headed for" puts more emphasis on the journey to the room, while "headed to" is simply stating a fact. If I read "headed for," I am lead to expect something happens to him before he gets to Room 7.
