hint, hint

    How would you say "hint, hint"? or if this is expressed non-verbally, how?

    In English for example, a wife could say to her husband, "oh, the neighbor is getting his wife 3 dozen roses for Valentine's day!" and then she might say "hint, hint" and poke her husband in the ribs.

    hint is dica, I know, but I can't imagine it sounds right to say "dica, dica" to someone...

    I think she might just "say" with a smile in her face but with her lips closed: um um! :rolleyes:

    Nowadays, between the young people in Brazil, it is common the sentence "Fica a dica" or approx. in English "Here is the hint"
