    Creo que dependerá del contexto.
    En nuestro diccionario:
    historial m
1 Med medical record, case history
    2 (académico, laboral) curriculum vitae
    (antecedentes) background

Another characteristic is his method for looking for clues, because he isn't only search in their historiales medicos, but also in their houses.

(Otra de sus caracteristicas es su metodo para buscar indicios, porque el no solamente busca en sus historiales medicos, si no tambien en sus casas/hogares.

Yes, I think in this context is alright to use: medical background.

    I corrected it a bit.

Another characteristic is his method on looking for clues is that, he
not only searchs in their medical record, but also in their houses.

I think we could say "medical record" for the actual piece of paper
And background for the clinical data of the record?

Maybe im confused, if i am someone correct me please :p

    Hola,

    Medical record = Historia clínica
Medical background = Historial médico, antecedentes médicos, antecedentes patológicos...

    Atentamente,

Well... im confused about "his method on looking for clues" and "his method for looking for clues".

And it´s "between" not "among" :)

Can someone clarify that :( ?
