    How do I apologise for a mistake please? I want to say -

    I am sorry for any inconvenience caused (I forgot to sign something)

    I have not used this site before - I hope what I have done is OK :confused:

    You can say:

    "Je suis désolée pour tout désagrément causé." or

    "Je vous prie de m'excuser pour tout désagrément causé."

    The first one is a closer translation of your original sentence, but personnaly I prefer the second one, it sounds better and more polite. Do you also want to translate "I forgot to sign something" ? I don't think so but just in case: "J'ai oublié de signer quelque-chose".
