    Hi ,
    I have a question.
I was told that it is a mistake if I say
    I couldn't be better.
also said it should be like,
    It couldn't be better.
    which is right ?

It really depends on the context.
If someone asks something like "How's life?" you would say "It couldn't be better."
If someone asks "how are you?" you'd say "I couldn't be better."
