    Hey,

What word would you use to say canned laughter in Icelandic? I tried a few guesses but nothing seems to be right, then I thought it might be modelled on something in Scandinavian and so I took the Swedish (burkade skratt) and tried to see if it was something like potted laughter like it is there, but to no avail. I'm not seeing a pattern based on other languages either (German: Lachkonserve, Italian: risate registrate, Dutch: lachband). I did a search on all compounds ending in -hlátur and I can see now that there are a few instances of dósahlátur.

Would you agree that's the best translation?

    Thanks.
