    I'm translating some article from french to english for the submitting to the IROS robotics Conference, could somebody help me to translate in english the french expression " Il est à noter que... " , in order to emphasize something ?

    The complete sentence is :

    "Il est à noter que nous définissons le terme de "franchissement dynamique" par le passage d'un obstacle en prenant appui sur celui-ci, tout en utilisant la dynamique intrinsèque du robot pour le surmonter".

    I came across a sentence that says "To be noted that the number of..."

    Is that correct ?
    It sounds weird to me.

    It sounds strange to me too, but it might be OK if it is some form of shorthand or a marginal note or perhaps a minute of a meeting. This is why the forum rules require the provision of context.

    Even if it were marginal shorthand, it would more likely say: "To be noted: The number of..."
