    Field and topic:
    Also in a stamp:

    ESCUELA NORMAL INCORPORADA
    ---------------------

    Sample sentence:
Hello, Does anyone from Mexico know what "Incorporada" means in a copy of an official college degree? I can't find the word in the RAE or here. Help?

    Thanks! Zoe

Incorporada in this case means that the curriculum and degree is validated and made official by the Education Ministry.
There might be escuelas normales (teaching schools) that are not incorporadas, therefore, the degree is not an official one.

Wow, that was really fast - thank you so much lapachis8!

What you're saying makes sense to me, but this degree is weird. Take a look:

[seal: Escuela / Normal / Incorporada]

Incorporada a la Secretaria de Educacion Publica

    otorga a

    Zoe McNeal

    el Titulo de Licenciada en....

Don't you think that is odd? SOMEONE has to otorgar, no? Es la escuela del sello que esta otorgando entonces?

Thanks again, if you find the time to answer!

    Hola,
Otorgar not necessarily has to be done by a person only (at least in Spanish). It can be by an institution, company, etc.
    I hope it helps.
    cheers
