    Hi

I am trying to translate an article on gastro-oesophageal reflux disease from this website
    http://www.segg.es/segg/tratadogeria...5%2054_III.pdf

and have come across a difficulty translating indicacion. I have used the word use in my draft version but am not sure if this is exact enough in this context.

    Radiología (tránsito baritado esofágico).
Su indicación actual en la ERGE es muy limitada.

Radiology (barium swallow). Its current use in determining GORD is very limited.

    Many thanks

    Yo estudio terminologia medica...

Es interesante... En ingles, la misma palabra es usado a menudo:

An antibiotic is indicated for those symptoms.

    Ver "indicate". De dictionary.com

    a. (of
symptoms) to point out (a particular remedy, treatment, etc.) as suitable or necessary.

    b. to show the presence of (a condition, infection, etc.).
