Inner Sanctum

    I would be glad if somebody told me what does "inner sanctum" mean? It's related to an obituary where names are displayed...:(

    Hi Danae,

    An inner sanctum is the most sacred room within a religious building, usually accessible to only a few people, and kept locked.

    People can also have an inner sanctum in their home, where they can get up to all sorts of things which they wish to keep private.

    Witches supposedly have inner sanctums in their homes, designed as temples to their cult, where they carry out their witchcraft, either alone or with other witches.
