    It hit me like a ton of bricks

    Is there an idiom like that in italian? E.g. "Sono stato a letto per 8pm tutti i giorni... jet lag mi ha colpito come un mucchio di mattoni."

    "Sono rimasto a letto tutti i giorni fino alle 8 di sera. Il jet lag mi ha steso/distrutto/mandato ko".

    There alre lots of way to express this. Let's see if someone else has other ideas. :)

    Thank you!! For the first part of the sentence the intention was to say that I went to bed at 8pm every day this week. That's what happens when you come back to the US from a trip overseas ;0))

    I see. In this case you should say:

    "(Questa settimana) sono andato a letto tutti i giorni alle 8 di sera". :)
