    How would I say:

    'The film warms my heart'

in French? Is there an idiomatic way of saying it or is the translation literal?

    Many, many thanks.

    On peut parfaitement traduire littéralement:
    "ça me réchauffe le coeur"

    ou plus imagé:
"ça me met du baume au coeur"

    Hello Zoble and welcome!

I would translate "it warms my heart" by "ça me fait chaud au coeur", so maybe "Ce/Le film m'a fait chaud au coeur". Though I never heard it to talk about a film, but I guess it works. Let's wait for another native to confirm (or not) ;)
