    Referring to something which is expensive, but worth it as a one-off (e.g. luxury hotel/restaurant/etc), how might you this:
    It was expensive, but worth it. After all, it's not something you do every day.

    Era caro, pero vale. No es algo que haces todos los días. [?]

    Hello.

    I'd say, for example: Fue caro, pero mereció/valió la pena. Al fin y al cabo, no es algo que hagas/se haga todos los días/Al fin y al cabo, era una ocasión especial.

    Concuerdo con blasita (¡hola!). Por acá lo más común es no es algo que se haga/hagas todos los días.
