J'ai le nez en compote.

    somebody has a bad flu, and he says to his friend:

    j'ai le nez en compote.

    what does that mean? :)

    J'ai le nez en compote means 'My doze is all blocked up' ;)

    Un nez en compote me fait uniquement penser à un nez écrasé, par exemple par un coup de poing, et réduit en compote (smashed to a pulp).

    On peut imaginer que la sensation est la même, la douleur en moins. :)
