I was reading a newspaper headline:

"Tukea tarvitsevia lapsia on jonoksi asti"

I am not sure what "jonoksi asti" means here. "Children who need help are queuing" (?)

It's a figure of speech which means that there are so many of those children that they could form a queue.

"-ksi asti" is a fairly common construction to say that "there's so many/enough/too much of something that they cause/form/create something (the -KSI word)"

It generally has a negative tone to it. So whatever there is, there is usually too much of them.

    "Lapsia on ongelmaksi asti"
    "Lapsia on riesaksi asti"
