This word described a lake in a park in Ostend (Belgium). I think in English it translates literally as Rabbit Pond. Is it a common word to describe lakes in Dutch, and if so what does it signify? Or is it only used about this lake? Could it just mean it has the shape of a rabbit?

    Thanks!
