est-ce que je peux mettre "edits books on all issues linked to the environment"?
    thanks

    Or...

"...on all issues related to ecology."

écologie = ecology and refers to care for the environment, primarily.

Does that make sense to you in this case?

    Very good points, all.

I'm wondering, as I've only heard the term used with regard to environmental ecology, whether "political ecology" and "social e." might refer in this context to the political and social activism associated with trying to preserve a clean environment.

    Juste mes pensées...Qu'en pensez-vous?

I would say that ecology is the STUDY of the environment. You could for example study " the ecology of this or that environment". Take your pick, therefore, according to context, but they are different things. Hope that makes sense.

    FYI, <Webster's...
ecology is "a branch of science concerned with the interrelationship of organisms and their environments.

That clears things up a bit, I think.

    Best wishes to all. :)

Let's be careful here with the words ecology and environment.
They are not synonyms, but they often get used interchangably!

    Primary definitions:-
    1. Ecology:- A branch of biology dealing with the relations of organisms to one another and their physical surrounding.
    2. Environment:- Physical surroundings and conditions.
But let's make it quite clear, "Humans are creating environments that are ecological madness."
