    Hi everyone!!

I need some help to translate this "je l'institue légataire universel".
It's in a will,a child will be born but the father has cancer and will die, so he makes his will and "institue son fils légataire universel".
I found legatee for legataire, but dont know for universel if i can use "universal"...
By the way, I need it in american english if possible...
    Thanks a lot.

I think it means that his child will get ALL that's in his will (rather than his wife) but I could be wrong... Will be interested to know the translation as well though...

the GTI says universal legatee... but I have never heard it, whereas sole legatee sounds familiar. He will get everything his father will leave when he dies.
