    Alguien sabe loq ue signifique "la mera" . (Ahora mismo no tengo el texto) Pero no en el sentido de "mere" .

    Un estudiante nativo me dijo que significa algo como "the ultimate"

    Bueno, en México significa algo como "the only one (she)/the unique (she)".
    El mero es lo mismo pero para he

    It is a very interesting question ---

    In Mexico we say " el mero mero " o " la mera mera " when a person is the best in something or " the boss " but honestly I don´t know the origin of the word.

    The origin must have to do with "mero," no? In the sense of "the pure essence" or "nothing more, nothing less than ...?"
