    Hello everybody

I'm looking for the definition of "la noce del collo".
Is it the front part of the neck?
    here is the whole sentence:
"...dentro ci dormivano questi uccellini, con la noce delcollo rotta, come delle marionette di legno."

    Grazie mille

    Hi,
it's the back part of the neck, the "nape".

But in English we'd just say that the birds have broken necks, without mentioning the nape.:)
