    "Disparistion de la plage en verre dépoli dans le segment postéro basal gauche."

    This is a medical term on a CT(scanner) report. I think it might mean consolidation(thickness/area of infection) but the direct translation into English is nuts!

    Thank you for your reply:) I was thinking "patch of grainy opacification" might fit too. What do you think?

    Ground-glass opacity is a non-specific term that refers to the presence of increased hazy opacity within the lungs that is not associated with obscured underlying vessels (obscured underlying vessels is known as consolidation). It can reflect minimal thickening of the septal or alveolar interstitium, thickening of alveolar walls, or the presense of cells or fluid filling the alveolar spaces.
