    Hi guys,

I think we have the same dilemma in many languages, what would you call the years between 2000 and 2009?
    Maybe the 'naughties' or 'noughties'?

And what about the next decade, from 2010 til 2019?
maybe the 'teens'? or is that only as from 2013??

Im Spanish and I still dont know how to call them in my own language,
I would say "La primera década de 2000" y "la segunda década de 2000"...

    Other options for both languages?

En castellano creo que no tiene ningún nombre.

Aquí en Irlanda he leido siempre "The Noughties" en los periódicos y creo que es como se dice en UK también. Sobre USA u otros paises no tengo ni idea.

In the US, the term "Noughties" isn't used much, if at all. There does not seem to be a standard or an easy way to refer to the first decade. I have heard the early two-thousands, but there are other options. Here are some related threads where you might find some ideas.:
    In the 2000s - grammar
    noughties
    The Noughties
    The Noughties

As for the second decade, I have heard the teens and the twenty-tens. Again, I don't think any standard has emerged.
