    Good evening,

I was wondering if anyone could help me translate the sentence "Il ladro d'identità diventato medico con la terza media." The bit I don't understand is "la terza media"...

"The identity thief turned doctor with his third grade degree" ?

Grazie di cuore in anticipo per dell'aiuto.

What we call in everyday language 'scuola media' is nowadays officialy called 'scuola secondaria di primo grado' (first three years of secondary/high school), I think you can translate it as 'middle school' or 'junior high school', see this thread. :) Here is the news: CLIC.

Thanks, "junior high school" seems to work well, in a USA context at least. And yes that's where the sentence comes from. :)
