La violence ne résout rien

    Bonjour à tous,

    en rédigeant une dissertation, j'ai eu un petit problème. J'ai cherché à intégrer la phrase "La violence ne résout rien" à mon texte et je me demandais si on pouvait la traduire littéralement par "Violence doesn't solve anything" ou si il existe une expression propre à l'anglais. Internet n'ayant pas éclairé ma lanterne, je m'en remets à vous.

    English - standard UK variety
    Violence solves nothing.
    Nothing is solved by (using) violence.
    Violence doesn't solve anything.
    Violence is not the answer to everything/anything.

    I don't think there is a preferred phrase so all are possible - depends on context.

    A bit late, but another option: "violence is never a solution", but as GdM says, there is no set phrase, so any one of them would do.
