Yesterday, I learned about "linking devices" and "conjunctions"...I have terrible doubts about the comma, and I know that it is very important in English, and I usally translate into spanish while it is not the same...

My question is, when and where should I put the comma? After linking devices? After conjunctions?

    Thanks in advance.

That's quite a complete page. My experience though is very different from theirs re Rule 11. I can't remember the last time I came across a piece of writing with too many commas. Their underuse is far more common in my view!
