Marquesa de Casa Torres, the great-grandmother of Queen Fabiola

Queen Fabiola is a queen consort of King Baudouin I of the Belgians.
What does "Marquesa" mean? Is it just a name or an English equivalent of marquis?
Could it be a misspelling of marquess? (It's from an English text.)

Marquesa is the Spanish for marchioness. Fabiola was born in Spain and all her family comes from there. It seems that in that text they have preferred to write the title of the great-grandmother in Spanish.

    ¡Olé!
