Hello friends, here is another little question. In the phrase "matte te kudasai" (= wait for me) what is the function / meaning of "te"? Can the phrase be simplified as "matte kudasai"? Thank you

"Matte te kudasai" is a colloquial, abbreviated version of "matte ite kudasai."
